One file, download and run — no installation, on any distribution.

macOS menu bar tools: system & CPU monitor, reminders, volume

Installation: These apps are not Apple-certified (no notarization). macOS will show a warning on first launch. Here's how to install anyway:
  1. Download and unzip the ZIP file
  2. Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal)
  3. Navigate to the unzipped folder: cd ~/Downloads/AppName
  4. Run the install script: bash install.sh
The script copies the app to /Applications, removes the quarantine flag, and launches the app.
No install.sh? If the ZIP doesn't contain a script, manually move the .app to /Applications, then in Terminal: xattr -cr /Applications/AppName.app and double-click to launch.

How do I verify the SHA256 hash of my downloaded file?

The SHA256 hash is a digital fingerprint. Compare the hash of your downloaded file with the one shown on this page. If both match, the file is unchanged.

Linux

Open a terminal and enter the following command (adjust the filename):

sha256sum ~/Downloads/filename.zip

macOS

Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal) and enter:

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename.zip

Windows

Open PowerShell (Windows key, type "PowerShell", Enter) and enter:

Get-FileHash ~\Downloads\filename.zip -Algorithm SHA256

Android

Install the app "Hash Checker" from the Play Store, select the APK file and compare SHA256. Or with Termux:

sha256sum /sdcard/Download/filename.apk
